Break through the illusions conjured by the God Of Mischief, and start browsing Zavvi UK’s wide range of Loki merchandise. Inspired by the infamous Asgardian’s appearances in comic books and their subsequent adaptations, our officially licensed products include action figures, replicas, clothing, and more.

A Prince Of Asgard

In Marvel Comics, Loki — a character created by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, and Larry Lieber — made his first appearance in Venus #6 (1949). He was inspired by the Norse deity of the same name, taking on the role of villain and becoming one of the main antagonists of Thor Odinson, his non-biological brother. Despite being a well-known member of the Asgardian people, the so-called God Of Mischief was born to a king of the Frost Giants called Laufey. Odin, the ruling king of Asgard, found Loki as a child and adopted him, wanting to honour a worthy adversary. However, as the Frost Giant grew, he became jealous and conniving, his gift for sorcery being used for self-serving purposes.

Leaping from the pages of comics, the God Of Mischief has also appeared in other media. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), he is portrayed by actor Tom Hiddleston and has played the role of villain and anti-hero across multiple films, which include Thor (2011), Avengers Assemble (2012), Thor: The Dark World (2013), Thor: Ragnarok (2017), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019). His role has progressively expanded, the adopted Asgardian taking centre stage in a self-titled Disney+ TV series that introduces the concept of time variants, one of whom is a female God Of Mischief known as Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino).
